Some plants ship only in March, April, or May, regardless of your zone, which will be noted on the product page. I do have heat packs, if needed, and I use these on a case-by-case basis. Some plants handle this better than others, so don't hesitate to message me if you want advice on when to ship. Many plants have the option to "ship now" for indoor planting, or if you're sure you have at least 5 weeks until your first freeze. I use the dates below as a guide when to ship outdoor plants. Here's some information about off season purchases and pre-orders: Drought tolerant in some shade once established. Note: You will receive ten small plants with roots, each 6 - 12 inches long. As a low-water Gardener in zone 7B, I let my full sun vinca minor crisp up and toss a little auburn mulch over it to camouflage, although usually by that point my heat-loving cannas and black-eyed susans have grown up over it. Will grow in full sun, but may crisp up a little during the hottest months if not watered.
Small, dark green, glossy leaves that bloom delicate lavender flowers in May and June, growing best in shade and part sun. This drought-tolerant, evergreen ground cover is deer and rabbit resistant, growing fast to cover a large area in about a season.
Note: This isn't the upright vinca rosea Madagascar periwinkle. This plant can be shipped dormant in the winter for indoor planting or in the spring for outdoor planting.
